As a plus-sized woman working in a store that primarily carried smaller sizes, she made it her mission to showcase her OOTDs with pride — not just to sell clothes, but to empower women to feel confident in their own skin. And turns out? People loved it. One day, a coworker who was launching her own business asked Robyn to whip up a few posts to promote her upcoming event. Robyn said yes — and the posts took off. That tiny spark lit a fire. Around the same time, the boutique shut down for a month-long revamp. Robyn found out that her management position would only last another month after reopening. With her partner at home struggling with health issues, she knew she wanted something more flexible. Cue the late-night scrolling through “Make $30K as a Virtual Assistant” videos (yep — we’ve all been there 🙋‍♀️). Instead of just watching, Robyn dove in. She poured time, energy, and money into learning everything she could — and booked her very first client before even finishing her boutique contract. From there, she said yes to every opportunity she could get her hands on, partnering with a wide range of amazing Sarnia-Lambton businesses to learn the ropes and expand her skills. The following year, Robyn took on a role at The Inn of the Good Shepherd as a receptionist and digital marketing assistant. Working for a well-known nonprofit gave her a chance to work on a bigger scale, fine-tune her strategy, and create impact-driven content for her hometown community. She later accepted a contract as Executive Assistant — but with that role being a full plate, she knew she couldn’t do it all alone anymore. Enter: Abby. Ten years younger, newly single, and a toddler mama working part-time reception at Custom Glass Tinting, Abby was looking for a little extra income and a little more purpose. Robyn offered her a few basic admin tasks to get started. But it didn’t take long to realize… Abby was a natural. She quickly took over the inbox, client leads, and backend organization (bless her). Robyn handled the strategy and creative, while Abby became the operational glue. The partnership just clicked.
